Subject: The Dead
having been to a few of the 09 dead shows i'll start by correcting the previous commentor by saying that the dead are much tighter and put on a good tour.
as for this ban although the guitar and playing in general is fantastic the vocals are a little off the timeing is too off too jazzy it just seems to lack some umph, a great listen is you like the dead but there are some sloppy points i give em a 3

Subject: Fantastic band in the Boston area --- impossible to rate
Hello: I would rather attend one of "Playin' Dead's" shows than "The Dead" (or whatever they call themselves nowadays.) I've seen some incredible improvisation by them that "nails it" perfectly.

Just FYI: there's a place in Quincy, MA that has no cover charge ["Firefly's BBQ"] --- great place to see them; about 10-min from downtown Boston.

For fans of the keyboard: their regular keyboard player, Mark Munzer, is a tremendous musician. Actually, they are all great musicians.

Notes

Second of a two-night run at Harpers Ferry, for Playing Dead. We had Geoff Wadhams sitting on the Hammond B3 and other keyboards. Mixed by Jason Benjamin. Enjoy!
